vivio cognoscimus, si haec omnia in unum collegimus, fortasse 
sic nobis dialogum fingere possumus, qualem ipse Plato de 
hac prima collocutione scripsisset. Neque umquam Plato 
finxit Socratem Alcibiadi amicitiam ingessisse 1 . Praeterea 
Alcibiades in Convivio, etsi Socratem iam diu adamavit, tamen 
pulcherrimus describitur. 
Quamquam auctor Alcibiadis I conatus esse videtur Pla 
tonem imitari. Alcibiades modo hoc, modo illud dicit, sed 
Socrates ei resistit philosophiae rationes sequens; Alcibiades
