I. DE SANCTO THEODGARO. 
Ex Manuscriptis Arnamagnseanis. 
Lectio . 1 . Cum in diuersis locis sanctorum patrum 
religione polleret ecclesia, beatus Theodgarus ex honestis 
5 parentibus trahens originem in Thyringia natus est. Qui a 
pueritia literis instructus non minus morum bonitate quam 
scientia profecit. Cumque ad virilem etatem venisset, propter 
deum relinquens parentes et patriam in Angliam transiuit. 
Ubi dum angelice et breui tempore moratus fuisset, Norwe- 
10 giam expetiuit. 
Lectio .II. Cum autem in Norwegia maneret, propter 
vite honestatem gradatim ascendens est presbiter ordinatus. 
Audiens autem famam eius inclitus rex Norwegie Olauus eum 
vocari fecit ac capellanum suum ordinauit. Manens igitur 
15 cum rege officium suum diligenter exequebatur, celebrando 
A = exemplar codicis Arnamagnaeani 1049, ipsius Arnae manu 
scriptum. 
B = alterum exemplar eiusdem codicis, ab amanuensi quodam 
Arnae scriptum.

Ubicumque in commentario critico unius alicuius testis scrip 
turam, quam non sequor, adfero, intellegendum est, ceteros testes,
